Arike Ogunbowale

Arike ogunbowale (born April 2, 1985) is an American professional player of the basket ball. She is part of the Dallas Wings and the Women's National Basketball Association. She played for Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the college level before being selected as the 5th overall pick by the Wings in the 2019 WNBA draft. Arike Ogunbowale's parents Yolanda Ogunbowale & Gregory Ogunbowale were born March 2 1997 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Mario Ogunbowale (26) and Dare Ogunbowale(20) are her siblings. She was the youngest child of her family, and her parents spoilt her to the max. Gregory, her father, was serving in the Nigerian Army quite a while. Ogunbowale is from a family who has connections to the sports world. Her mother Yolanda was a softball player for DePaul and her brother Dare has a career in football. Her aunt was a volleyball player at UAPB and her cousin Endia Oliver also plays volleyball in Tennessee State. Ogunbowale was on the school honour roll for the past three years. In addition, she has won numerous honors and has received acclaim and recognition for her school days. Arike graduated in Divine Savior Holy Angels High School that is situated in Arike's hometown. The school was accompanied by three years of playing varsity. Ogunbowale led her team in a series of stunning wins with her extraordinary skills numerous times. Through her time at high school she's had started 73 times and has 1 477 points total. She also lists 739 rebounds. Ogunbowale was able to win gold at the 2013 the FIBA Americas U16 Championships as well as 2014 World Championships of FIBA U17. She was named to the 7th July roster of 2014 and was named to the 2014 USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team. Ogunbowale, who is entering her first year of collegiate play and was named to the ACC All-Freshman Team. Kobe Bryant himself congratulated Ogunbowale following his NCCA Tournament big shot. Ogunbowale is a relative newcomer to the game of basketball, has become a major star. It is likely that she will keep on going in her career.
